The Yamahas soon put a small
but discernible gap on a deter-
mined Marquez, who was soon
joined by Dovizioso, as Espar-
garo dropped back. Rossi was
pushing and probing, mainly into
the first corner, getting ahead
but running wide at the start of
lap two. Lorenzo was steadfast.
