and hit the ground a few times,
but all in all it was a good day for
points," said Baylor. "I just didn't
have anything for Russell today. I
don't think he made any mis-
takes and he came to this race
to win. I think this was a huge
motivator for him and I'm going
to have to watch out for him the
rest of the season.
Baylor lingered between sec-
ond- and fourth-place finishes in
the first five tests of the day, but
came on strong in test six with
a win. He ended the day over a
minute behind Bobbitt.
Rounding out the podium was
another SRT KTM rider, Cory
Buttrick. This was one of Cory's
best finishes in a while.
"The day started good for me
with a third in test one," said
Buttrick. "Usually when you start
well the rest of the day falls into
place. The second test caused
me some problems. I was in
the start of the trail and took
the rear brake pedal completely
off. I thought I blew the whole
race with a 10th in the test, but
we rebounded good and kept it
either second or third for the rest
of the race."
Fourth went to Beta rider
Jesse Groemm while N-Fab Am-
Pro Yamaha rider Grant Baylor
rounded out the top five.
In the Expert AA class, KTM
rider Zac Brown took the win,
followed by fellow KTM riders
Dylan MacRitchie and Jake Fro-
man.
In the women's A/B class,
FMF KTM rider Kacy Martinez
took the win and overall B for
the day. Martinez didn't have it
easy as she battled with Shawn
Davidson all day. Martinez won
tests one and four, with David-
son winning tests two, three and
five, ultimately only 20 seconds
off the winning time. Finishing
third was KTM-mounted Rachael
Gutish.
In the chase for the champion-
ship, Bobbitt's consistency is
paying off. He holds an 11-point
lead over Stew Baylor and 13
points over Grant Baylor after
four rounds.

Fresh off his win
