FAITH FLIES AT FORD CENTER ARENACROSS
G
avin Faith followed his
narrow victory on the first
night of the Nampa, Idaho
Arenacross, April 22-23, with a
dominant win on night two, put-
ting his stamp on the Ford Idaho
Center where penultimate round
of the AMSOIL Arenacross
Race To The Championship
took place. The Team Babbitt's
Monster Energy AMSOIL Kawa-
saki rider cemented his hold of
the points lead with a sweep on
Saturday night, and now has an
eight-point lead over his team-
mate Chris Blose with only one
round remaining. In the Western
Regional Arenacross Lites class,
Kyle Bitterman had a fantastic
weekend capturing his first-ever
main event win on Friday night
followed promptly by his second
on Saturday.
Friday night starred a battle
between Babbitt's Kawasaki
teammates Gavin Faith and
Chris Blose, although neither
rider scored a main event win on
night one.
Travis Sewell topped the first
main event with a wire-to-wire
win (his first win in the Race To
The Championship), leaving
Faith and Blose to battle for sec-
ond. Faith took the runner-up
honors leaving Blose to round
out the podium. The duo again
locked horns in the second main
event in an exciting battle that
brought the Ford Idaho Center
to its feet. But again, their battle
was only for second place as
holeshotter Steven Mages led
every lap of the second main
event aboard his Atlas Racing
KTM.
In the Lites main event, Scott
Zont grabbed the holeshot and
the early lead. Carlen Gardner
was hungry for another win and
passed his way into the lead, but
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna's
Kyle Bitterman methodically
made his way up from a fourth-
place start to take the lead on lap
nine, pulling a gap over the field
en route to his career-first win.
