VOL. 52 ISSUE 16 APRIL 26, 2016 P27 Faith once again managed to edge out his teammate to finish second, using his 2-2 score to claim the overall win. He tied on points with Blose, who boosted his 3-3 score with a win in the RMATV/MC Head 2 Head Chal- lenge, but Blose had to settle for second on Friday night while Mages took third overall with his 6-1 tally. Inspired by his narrow victory on Friday night, Faith returned on Saturday night for another winning performance. His 3-1 sweep handed him the win, this time ahead of Jacob Hayes (1-3) and Travis Sewell (2-4). In the first main event, Jace Owen grabbed the holeshot, but was quickly passed by Blose and Faith, but both riders ended up on the ground after Blose attempted an inside-line pass on his teammate. That allowed Bab- bitt's Kawasaki's Jacob Hayes to slip past his teammates to take the early lead. Hayes held on to the point all the way to the finish for his first win in the Race To The Championship. Meanwhile, Faith recovered from the crash quicker and completed the first lap in sixth (while Blose found himself back in 14th place). Faith made steady progress through- out the main event, making his way into third place by the checkered flag behind Sewell who took second. Eighth was all Blose could muster in the remaining laps. The final race saw Faith close out his winning weekend on a dominant note leading every lap of the main event. Blose ran in second place but wasn't able to make a pass on his teammate. Hayes finished third complet- ing the all Babbitt's Kawasaki podium on Saturday night. Faith's win on Friday night gave him the championship lead by a single point, and his win on Saturday night now gives him an eight-point lead in the Race To The Championship with only one round remaining. Bitterman again starred in the Lites action, this time receiv- ing a challenge from Ben Nelko early in the race. But Bitterman regained control and held it to the finish for an impressive win. Cody VanBuskirk still leads in the Western Regional Arenacross Lites standings, though Nelko narrowed the gap to eight points with his runner-up finish. CN Kyle Bitterman made a statement with two wins in the Western Regional Arenacross Lites class in Nampa, Idaho. Jacob Hayes opened Saturday night with a main-event win.
