Ryan Dungey has shown since Anaheim 1 of this
year that as long as he doesn't get a terrible start,
he's going to win. His only two loses so far have
been the side effect of bad starts; otherwise,
once he gets into the lead, you might as well
close up shop, turn off the lights and go home.
But not this time.
When Dungey passed holeshotter Ken Roczen
on the first lap of the 20-lap main event, no one
watching would've been blamed for thinking, "oh,
crap, here we go again," but something very dif-
ferent happened—Roczen quickly passed Dungey
back for the lead! And he never let go of it!
