tory KTM podium with third
overall—a position he was
happy to take after a rough
night in front of his home
crowd. "Tonight was just
wild," said Blazusiak. I hit
the ground hard a couple of
times and really had to dig
deep to pull something out
of the bag. When I crashed
off the start in race three,
I thought that was it; any
chance of the podium was
gone. But I didn't give up
and clawed my way back.
That's probably the hardest
fought podium result I've
ever got, so I'm pleased. It's
good to be back on track
after taking the summer off."
American riders Colton
Haaker and Taylor Robert
finished out the top-five in
Poland, with Haaker taking
fourth in his first race with
his Bel-Ray Rockstar Energy
Husqvarna team.
Haaker was the
only other rider to
celebrate a main
event win, topping
the second final of
the night. Heading
into the third final,
he was on track to
capture the final
podium position,
but a crash off the
start damaged his
shifter and left him
in fourth place for
the entire race.
"It was an eventful night,"
Haaker said. "My bike was
excellent and I really felt like
I could ride to my potential.
The track was good and it's
great for the sport that we
have five or six different rid-
ers going for the win. I got
a mediocre first race, a win
in the second race and had
a big crash in the last race.
But I'm looking forward to
the next round, hopefully
with some better luck."
Haaker actually tied on
points with Robert at 38
apiece, but the nod for
fourth went to Haaker on
account of his win in the
second final. Riders now
have a break in the cham-
pionship with round two of
the FIM SuperEnduro taking
place on January 2, 2016 in
Germany. CN
Blazusiak's third-place finish
made the podium in Poland an
all-orange affair.

quite get the win.
