P42
title. The Ox Motorsports Honda hon-
cho enjoyed a healthy points lead over
Precision Concepts Kawasaki's Justin
Seeds, 183-137, but that didn't mean
Udall was on cruise mode.
After getting an okay start aboard his
Jackson Motorsport Group/AHM/MSR
CRF450X, Udall found himself with
some ground to make up.
"They were going fast, but it took me
a while to get into my pace and kind of
push," he said. "It's a very fine line at
that was the goal here.
"After I got that great start, I knew I
had something in the works so I just
can't say any more except how I rode
my own race and got through the lap-
pers."
While Stewart's unexpected victory
aboard his Split Design Co./Maxxis/
John Burr Cycles YZ250 clinched the
class championship in a fairly tight fight
with Stover, Colton Udall enjoyed a bit
more breathing room for the WCGP Pro
(Left) The pass
of the weekend
belonged to Nick
Burson (H8) on
the last lap of the
last race of the
weekend. He'd
been chasing
Josh Nunes (H10)
for the entire
Heavyweight/
Lightweight Expert/
Intermediate
contest and finally
got close enough
as they hit the final
tabletop where
Burson went for it.
Dalton Shirey led
from start to finish.
(Right) Jarett
Megla made his
debut both on a
250 and as a JCR
Honda support
rider, delivering a
pair of wins. The
first came in WCGP
250cc Expert class
and the second in
Lightweight Expert
division. New
teammate Preston
Campbell followed
him closely in both
classes.
