on't tell Trevor Stewart you can't win
a Grand Prix on a 250. After getting
a second-place start and trailing
early leader Harrison Drummond for a few
laps, he slipped past and led the rest of
the way in the $2000 90-minute AMA West
Coast Grand Prix Series feature race at the
11th Annual Vikings Motorcycle Club Grand
Prix, the eighth and final round of the AMA
District 37/MSR Big 6 Grand Prix Series.
"I honestly didn't see this one coming,"
he admitted of his triumph at Lake Elsinore
Motorsport Park. "Coming into this race,
I kind of had the jitters a little bit. I knew
I was six points ahead of Nick [Stover in
WCGP Pro II] coming into the last round
here and I really wanted first of all to obvi-
ously win but to just stay ahead of Nick—
