11TH ANNUAL OLD SCHOOL MX REUNION/5TH ANNUAL AHRMA VINTAGE NATIONALS
P56
(Above) No one was surprised when former
Pro MXer Trey Jorski won three classes
(Vintage 40+ Expert, Post-Vintage 40+
Expert and Post-Vintage 50+ Expert)
and got second in another (Vintage 50+
Expert). He prefers the classic open-face
helmet and tries to get in front early,
insisting goggle lenses impair vision that's
not getting better as he ages.
(Right) Among the youngest competitors
and one of the few women, 18-year-old
Kaitlyn Morrow put her WMX-honed speed
to good use, winning all four motos of the
combined Marty Tripes Post-Vintage 100
and 125cc races after some good dices
with 125cc runner-up Tommy Cannon. She
capped off her first year as a WMX Pro by
winning the final race, ending up fourth
in points. "Vintage racing is some of my
favorite racing today," she claims.
