line where the track split into two
lanes. Dubach was set to take
the inside lane but then saw two
lappers in his path.
"There were two riders on the
inside," Dubach said. "I have
never walked away without a
title in 22 years! So I was facing
losing that record right there.
If I would've stayed inside, he
would've won that title. So you
saw some fierce venom. I didn't
have to do anything cheap, dirty,
we raced, he got here, I got
there across the finish line."
Nicoll, who ended up off the
track as a result of Dubach's
"fierce venom," had quite a dif-
ferent perspective on the move.
"It was out of order," Nicoll
said. "It seriously was. It was dan-
gerous. There's two lanes there,
and to jump across without even
looking where the guy beside you
is is genuinely stupid."
Nicoll carded second in the
class with a 2-2, while Dubach
took his only victory of the
weekend. Honda's Kevin Foley
finished third with a 3-3 finish
ahead of Ed Foedish and Pete
Murray.
Not quite as dramatic, but
equally as fierce was Sunday's
30+ Pro feature. Mike Sleeter
headed the field in the opening
moto ahead of fellow KTM rider
Ryan Morais and Kawasaki-
mounted Arik Swan. Kris Keefer
