hen it comes to model
longevity, there are abso-
lutely no bikes currently
available that can rival a Triumph
Bonneville. Okay, so we'll admit
there's been a few breaks in pro-
duction (ahem) over the years,
but the fact remains the Bonnie
first saw dirty tarmac in 1957 and
it's still going strong.
In fact, it's now stronger
than ever. For 2016 Triumph
is releasing the most powerful
and technologically advanced
Bonnie ever, complete with a
water-cooled, 1200cc parallel-
twin four-stroke engine that
has a claimed 54 percent more
torque than its predecessor.
Read that again—54 percent!
The figure now stands at a
claimed 105Nm at just over
3100 rpm, meaning hipsters
and beards and flannel will be
blasting to cafés faster than
anytime in history. The new
engine is controlled via Ride-By-
Wire throttle with two different
riding modes (Road and Rain)
and reworked exhausts to keep
the traditional parallel-twin noise
