VOL. 52 ISSUE 44 NOVEMBER 3, 2015 P75
PRESENTED BY MAXXIS, AN AMA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
Honda. This was Bollinger's first
win of the season. Before that,
he had one second-place finish
and four third-place finishes. He
also finished out the year in third
place (in class), just six points
behind Ricky Russell.
Finishing a ways back in sec-
ond was Jason Thomas, on the
Dirtwise/Maxxis/Klim KTM, but
no damage was done since he
had already clinched the 2015
class championship. Bollinger
has certainly found success this
season; he's known as a no-
nonsense, get-the-job-done-type
rider and should be a real threat
Kailub Russell, the 2015 GNCC
Champion, did not compete at
the Ironman due to a knee injury.
In the XC2 class, hard-charg-
ing Trevor Bollinger captured
the win on this E&H Honda.
Bollinger was the first XC2 rider
to take the checkered flag in
sixth overall, finishing about
50 seconds behind fifth overall
finisher Chris Bach, on the JCR
KTM rider Steward Baylor Jr. For
Ashburn, this was his third third-
place finish in a row. He finished
out the year seventh in both the
XC1 class and the series overall.
"This season has been rough
compared to last year," said
Ashburn. "We struggled early on
and finally got everything dialed
in over summer break. I worked
hard all break and the results re-
ally proved that."
As has been the case for the
last few rounds, FMF KTM's
(Left) Jordan Ashburn (3) got off
to another fast start and grabbed
another third-place finish.

the XC2 Pro Lites class victory.
