3. Jordan Ashburn (Yam)
for the class championship in
2016. Bollinger admitted after
the race that he was contemplat-
ing not competing next year, but
after experiencing his first win
of the year, he says that he's re-
motivated and will indeed go for
the XC2 title in 2016.
Factory Beta-backed Jesse
Groemm finished out the day
third in the XC2 class for his best
finish of the year. He ended the
title chase in ninth.
In the Women's class, every-
thing was pretty much the norm,
with FMF/KTM's Kacy Marti-
nez, the already crowned class
champ, taking the win, this time
over N-Fab/AmPro Yamaha's
Becca Sheets and Indiana's own
Ashburn, Strang
and Sipes supplied
plenty of action
early in the race as
they fought over
first place.
