Kawasaki's Austin Forkner is now
the first racer to ever to win both
the Supermini and Amateur All-Stars
events at the Monster Energy Cup.
Forkner dominated the Supermini
class in both 2012 and 2013, but sat
out the event in 2014 with an injury.
He showed up this year on his Pro
Circuit-backed Kawasaki KX250F
and was basically never even chal-
lenged. He won both motos going
away, making him a perfect six-for-
six inside Sam Boyd Stadium in Las
Vegas, Nevada.
"It's just a super fun race," For-
kner said. "It's always fun to race in
front of the crowd and everything
like that. But I just try to put that in
the back of my head and ride my
own race."
In fact, Forkner was so fast
that he would've qualified 20th in
the Open (premier) class, on his
KX250F, just in front of Martin
Davalos. And during the races, For-
kner's best laptime–a 1:08.8–which
came in his second and final moto,
