ody Webb and Colton
Haaker are the two top
dogs in the 2015 GEICO
AMA EnduroCross Champion-
ship chase and both were born
and raised in Northern Califor-
nia. So the Sacramento round
held inside the Sleep Train Are-
na was a homecoming event
for both riders. After an intense
night of racing, Webb, who
hails from nearby Santa Cruz,
stood on top of the podium as
the King of Sacramento.

The EnduroCross tracks typically
play a big role in the results and cre-
ate debate among the riders. Many
felt that the four rounds held so far
in 2015 were relatively easy but the
consensus after the event was that
the Sacramento track was difficult
and made for a lot of close racing
and passing opportunities. There
was a huge, pro-only log wall that
was spectacular looking but not re-
ally that difficult for the riders. One
corner filled with a mix of car and
tractor tires flat on the ground cre-
ated multiple lines and a lot of action.
The Matrix, a row of unevenly spaced
logs, also proved to be extremely dif-
ficult. But it was the water hole that
had the riders and fans talking. The
track builders had no intention of it
being jumped but Mike Brown and
Taylor Robert found the nerve and
