(188-181) with two races remain-
ing. Both riders are still in control
of their own destiny.
Sammy Halbert's crash and
since he couldn't get out of

up into third and he was able to
soldier on to 14th.
The two riders most likely to

Dominic Colindres was fast all day
and night at Delaware International
Speedway. His Babe DeMay/Mem-
phis Shades Yamaha FZ-07 powered
him to second in timed qualifying and
a victory in his heat race, got him
into the Dash for Cash and a front
row start for the national. The speedy
GNC1 rookie parlayed that strong
lead up into an excellent fourth-place
finish.
It marked Colindres' best ever
Twins result in GNC1 and the best re-
sult to date for DeMay's new Yamaha.
Yamaha's racing boss Keith
McCarty came to several Grand
Nationals earlier this year and made
it known that Yamaha is looking to in-
crease its presence in the champion-
ship and now with DeMay's machine
starting to click, the company could
have a good baseline motorcycle to
start from.
