VOL. 52 ISSUE 33 AUGUST 18, 2015 P101 MICHELIN TESTER contact patch, with the 16.5in, your contact patch is fatter and shorter. So when you go into a corner you carry that around, whereas a 17-in, the contact patch becomes longer and narrower. So the amount of rubber that you actually have on the ground is less. And once you gather that concept and learn how to set the bike up then it's not bad. But if you try to bring a Bridges- tone-setup bike with Michelin tires, it doesn't work. "Lorenzo will be the first guy to adapt. Obviously Valentino will because he knows from old days (of 17in tires). I think Marquez will struggle with his braking style. It's the same for everybody, but they cannot ride the bike like they're riding now. They cannot get away with murder." Colin's been busy testing Michelins on what he describes as the best bike he's ever ridden.
