himself as the favorite early in
the day by posting the fastest
qualifying time, then backing that
up by winning the fastest heat
race of the night on his Zanotti

son backed XR 750. A poor
start in the main event doomed
Coolbeth's hope for garnering
his second win of the year.
"The start was where he beat
us. I don't know what the deal
was, I just had terrible starts all
night," said Coolbeth. "I had to
come from the back. I had a
charge going there for a while

"I got the holeshot," said
Mees. "Like Johnny Goad just

do didn't you?' Yes I did!"
