Davis had posted the fast qualifying time and fast heat race time on his Parkinson Brothers Racing/Bob Lanphere Beaverton Motorcycles-backed Honda. The similarity continued as Fisher's start in the 16-lap main was also less than hoped for. Dalton Gauthier grabbed the early lead on his Bird Hills Chopper/13 Rebels MC-backed Yamaha over Pacific Tub & Tile/Inderbitzin Racing's Michael Inderbitzin and Fisher. Fisher was quick to take second, but taking the point from Gauthier would require a little more time. After several aborted attempts to take the lead, Fisher took over just past the halfway point. From there it was clear sailing and the youngster advanced to an over two-second lead. Gauthier slipped backwards, eventu- ally dropping to a seventh-place finish. While Fisher pulled clear there was a great race for second between Fat Guys Racing's Ryan Wells and Bromley Brothers KTM Racing/KTM North America's Dan Bromley. They exchanged the position several times, but Bromley was able to make a last- lap pass stick. K.C. Cycle/Helmet World's Kolby Carlile was able to work through the pack and put another KTM in the top four. Mike Butletr Racing/Wilhelm Racing's Brandon Wilhelm rounded out the top five.
