>>FISHER
Much like Kenny Coolbeth had
dominated the GNC 1 class all day,
current GNC 2 points leader Davis
Fisher had controlled the GNC 2
class. Davis had posted the fast
qualifying time and fast heat race
time on his Parkinson Brothers
Racing/Bob Lanphere Beaverton
Motorcycles-backed Honda. The
similarity continued as Fisher's start
in the 16-lap main was also less than
hoped for.
Dalton Gauthier grabbed the early
lead on his Bird Hills Chopper/13
Rebels MC-backed Yamaha over
Pacific Tub & Tile/Inderbitzin Racing's
Michael Inderbitzin and Fisher. Fisher
was quick to take second, but taking
the point from Gauthier would require
a little more time.
After several aborted attempts to
take the lead, Fisher took over just
past the halfway point. From there it
was clear sailing and the youngster
advanced to an over two-second lead.
Gauthier slipped backwards, eventu-
ally dropping to a seventh-place finish.
While Fisher pulled clear there
was a great race for second between
Fat Guys Racing's Ryan Wells and
Bromley Brothers KTM Racing/KTM
North America's Dan Bromley. They
exchanged the position several times,
but Bromley was able to make a last-
lap pass stick.
K.C. Cycle/Helmet World's Kolby
Carlile was able to work through the
pack and put another KTM in the top
four. Mike Butletr Racing/Wilhelm
Racing's Brandon Wilhelm rounded
out the top five. Another slow starter,
Southland Racing/Amararo Farms'
