MOTOCROSS LUCAS OIL AMA PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 9 / JULY 25, 2015 WASHOUGAL MX PARK / WASHOUGAL, WASHINGTON P88 My Own Race: 377 CHRISTOPHE POURCEL 3 RD OA (3-5) 450 Rockstar Energy Husqvarna's Christophe Pourcel had a solid day in the 450 National. He seemed to excel in the wet conditions, posting top times in qualifying and finishing out the day on the podium in third place with 3-5 motos."I got top-five in practice, which is always the goal," said Pourcel. "I was third in the first moto and kind of rode my own race. I had a good start and didn't make any mistakes so it was good to be on the box. I got a bad start in the second moto, so I had to come up from the back of the pack. I made some good passes, got up to fifth, and ended up third overall so it was really good." 21 JASON ANDERSON 13 TH OA (6-37) 450 Jason Anderson was a front-runner early in the first 450 moto when he suddenly turned up in the middle of the pack— turns out he pitted with goggle issues. He also disappeared from the race while running up front in the second moto. "I had to pull in for goggles during the first lap of the first moto, and ended up coming back to sixth which was pretty cool," Anderson said. "I got a good start in the second moto, but then I fell. I got back up to fourth, and was catching third, but then had some issues. But all-in-all I had a pretty good day. I'm excited for next weekend. I like Unadilla, and I feel like I've been consistently getting good starts and have been pretty strong. I want to race with the leaders and learn what they do so I can be a championship threat in the future." 38 MATT BISCEGLIA 15 TH OA (35-10) 250 For Oregon's Matt Bisceglia, the Washougal National was a bit of a homecoming for the GEICO Honda Team rider. Unfortunately for him, he was knocked out of the race with a mechanical problem but came back to finish in the top 10 in the second moto. "It was a decent day and I definitely had fun coming home to Washougal," Bisceglia said. "First moto was a mess after it drizzled and rained all morning. I made a mistake and crashed in the first moto and then I had an engine failure, so that was kind of a bummer. My mechanics definitely work so hard to avoid that but I just had that engine failure; it was the first one of the year for the whole team. I had a good start in the second moto and was riding sixth. Another rider and I came together in the whoops and I almost went down and ended up back in 10, which is where I ended up finishing. I was happy to at least bounce back in the second moto
