FEBVRE, GUILLOD TOP LOKET Y amaha Factory Racing Yamalube Team riders Romaine Febvre and Valentin Guillod came away with overall wins in their respective classes at the 15th round of the FIM Mo- tocross World Championship in Loket, Czech Republic, July 26. Febvre won both MXGP motos, while Guillod went 2-1 for top honors in the MX2 division. In both MXGP motos, Feb- vre finished ahead of Honda's Evgeny Bobryshev, and Febvre had room to spare, taking the checkered flag nine seconds ahead of Bobryshev in the first moto and five seconds in the second moto. Febvre extended his lead in the championship to 88 over Bobryshev's teammate Gautier Paulin. Yet, despite the comfort- able points gap, Febvre remains cautious. "I am excited for the title, but I was already happy with third place in MX2 last year; now I am battling for the title in MXGP on my first year," said Febvre. "So it is exciting but I know there are still five rounds to go and any- thing can happen, if it's in training or at the GP, so it's not finished." The race marked the return from injury for Rockstar Energy Suzuki World MXGP's Clem- ent Desalle. The Belgian hardly missed a beat after finishing both motos in third place, and that including getting a holeshot along the way. Fourth overall went to Desal- le's teammate Kevin Strijbos with a 5-4, and fifth overall went to Febvre's teammate Jeremy Van Horebeek with a 4-5. In the MX2 class, Great Britain's Max Anstie got things started with the first-moto win, crossing the finish line just two IN THE WIND P40 Romaine Febvre extended his MXGP-class points lead with a double victory at Loket.
