BY SHAN MOORE PHOTOGRAPHY BY ROB KOY L ast week at Budds Creek, Justin Barcia used his exceptional mud- riding skills to come away with his first-ever 450-class win (and first on a Yamaha) in less than desirable conditions. This week at RedBud, the AutoTrader.com/Toyota/Yamaha rider proved that last week's win was not just a fluke of the conditions, us- ing raw speed and great conditioning to outrun series point leader Ryan Dungey in the second moto to come away with overall win number two via 2-1 moto finishes on what were ideal conditions for racing. Up until the last two races, Bar- cia's season has been less than spectacular, as the New York-born rider struggled to come to terms with his new bike, having switched during the off-season from Honda to the JGR Yamaha. Last week something clicked for Barcia and his crew, and he carried the momentum from his Budds Creek win into RedBud where he looked like the Barcia of old, feet off the pegs and absolutely railing the course with wild, but somewhat controlled abandon. At least that's the way it looked from the outside.
