MAMMOTH MX: DUBACH, SLEETER
GET IT STARTED
M
ammoth Motocross 2015
got started over the June
20-21 weekend with the Vet rac-
ing kicking off the week's racing.
As always, the seasonal event
attracted top racers of all ages
including Vet motocross stars
Doug Dubach and Mike Sleeter.
To no one's surprise, they were
among the big winners of the
weekend.
KTM's Mike Sleeter had his
hands full in the very stacked
30+ Pro class, and had a solid
battle with Honda-mounted Tur-
bo Reif for the overall win. Each
rider took a moto win, but it was
Sleeter's 2-1 score that garnered
him the overall ahead of Reif,
who carded a 1-2 finish. Arik
Swan rounded out the podium
with a 3-3 finish.
Former freestyler Carey Hart
made a rare appearance on the
track in the 30 Pro division, and
the RCH co-founder rounded
out the top-10 overall with a 12-11
finish aboard his RCH Suzuki
RM-Z450.
Despite being "qualified" to
race the 50+ division, Dubach
elected to contest the 40+
class, where he enjoyed a per-
fect 1-1 victory. "Dr. D" led the
way followed by Branden Mil-
stead who finished second with
a 2-2 tally. Allan Jullien rounded
out the podium with a pair of
fourth-place finishes.
