VAN DER MARK IN FOR ASSEN?
P
ata Honda WSBK rider Michael Van Der Mark has been earmarked to replace the
injured Karel Abraham in the Cardion AB Honda squad on board the team's Honda
RC213V-RS at the Assen MotoGP in Holland, June 28.
As of Monday, June 22, there has been no final confirmation of Van Der Mark's ap-
pointment to the team, however, with
Abraham on the sidelines and Van Der
Mark Holland's most promising rider in
years, the stage could be set for the
22-year-old to make his MotoGP debut at
his home race.
Van Der Mark claimed two podiums
for the Pata Honda team at this year's
Assen WSBK round, and will partner
Casey Stoner and Takumi Takahashi in
this year's Suzuka 8 Hour, where he will
be aiming to make it three-straight 8 Hour
victories.
Michael Van Der Mark could make
