Roc- zen has a little extra time to savor the win, since the championship takes its first break of the season before resuming a week later at Budds Creek. The break will also give Roczen's still-healing back more time to heal. "I am so stoked to finally get an overall," said Roczen. "The track was a little tricky so you had to stay on it. I love racing and it's good to go into an off weekend with a win and have the motivation to get even stronger. It's a bummer we didn't gain any points, but we're taking it step by step right now. It's a good step in the right direction." Steinke pinned his Thermo- tec-backed Yamaha YZ125 to 32nd place in qualifying, good enough to get into the National, much to the delight of the many two-stroke fans in attendance. Jeremy White of Thermotec offered Steinke his personal 2014 YZ125, and they had it tuned by DH1 Mods. After qualifying, he said, "I don't ride too many nationals, and this is actually my best qualifying position ever, on a 125!" Steinke is no stranger to two-strokes and rides a 125 quite a bit. Fans around the track cheered him on the entire time. Steinke finished an impressive 27th overall—all in the name of fun. Gared Steinke and his YZ125 gave two-stroke fans some- thing to cheer about.
