week and flat out getting beat by

Point—Roczen was ready to take
out his frustrations on everybody
in the second moto, and that's
exactly what he did.

second moto—but it's good to get the
rhythm. I'm happy with the bike and
the team. I feel pretty good and I'm
happy with everything. I think getting
a good start was the most important
thing to do today, but I think it's pretty
amazing that we were able to get the
fastest lap time during qualifying.
We've worked so hard on the bike
and my speed, and I feel like I can
get a podium soon."
Pourcel's teammate Ryan Sipes
was back at it again at High Point.
The MX-turned-off-roader competed
in his first outdoor national of the
season at Muddy Creek then raced
a GNCC the next day in Ohio. At
High Point, Sipes finished 12
th
over-
all. "I didn't realize how much energy
last weekend took out of me," said
Sipes. "I was tired from the get-go
[today]. I didn't have the snap—that
extra five percent of energy to throw
down a heater or really push in a sec-
tion. I did my best. I stayed on the
bike for the most part; 13-13—I'll take
it. I'm not as pumped as I was last
week but it'll do."
Ryan Dungey rode excellent as al-
ways, but he was very impressive
when it came to his passing. He
knifed through riders quickly and ag-
gressively, a trait that he has histori-
cally not shown as being his strong
suit. "Those are the areas I've been
working on, and it's good to see
some results in that department in
making passes quicker than I nor-
mally would," he said. His second-
moto push toward Roczen's lead
was also commendable, but it just
wasn't in the cards to make the 1-1
happen this weekend.

the first-moto win.
