VOL. 52 ISSUE 24 JUNE 16, 2015 P129 POURCEL POWER Speaking of Christophe Pourcel, the Frenchman also had a good day, his best of the championship so far, without question. He made good use of two fast starts, going 3-5 for fourth overall, put- ting two Husqvarnas in the top five. Pourcel was the top qualifier and his fast riding didn't stop there, as he rock- eted out to an early moto-one lead (just missing out on the holeshot to Justin Barcia), but he then had a small tip over that cost him. He remounted for a third- place finish. A fifth in moto two would be good enough for fourth place overall. He obviously gelled with the High Point track, and he also showed that his fit- ness is improving. GETTING THERE Justin Barcia continues to put his Au- totrader.com/Toyota/JGRMX Yamaha in the mix of things but needs to find a little more speed to keep it there. Barcia nabbed the holeshot in the first moto and led a lap before giving way to both Dungey and Roczen, and eventually the Husky's of Anderson and Pourcel. In the second moto, Barcia started off in fourth and managed to keep it there for fourth overall (5-4). It was a good ride for Barcia but he knows it should be better. BAGGETT'S BAD LUCK Blake Baggett came into the High Point National sitting just three points back Joey Savatgy (37) finished out his day with a third in the 250 class second moto.
