Unfortunately, the Muddy Creek
race would be the first without
early points leader Eli Tomac.
The Colorado native crashed out
last weekend, ending his perfect
season and putting him on the
sidelines with a left rotator-cuff
tear and a dislocated right shoul-
der. He will undergo surgery and
return for 2016, a huge disap-
pointment for the Honda camp
for sure. His absence, however,
left the door wide open for plen-
ty of excitement and change.

Dungey who left Tennessee well
in charge of the points race (he's
now leading Ken Roczen by 37
