VOL. 52 ISSUE 22 JUNE 2, 2015 P29
Switzerland quickly worked his
way into second, and eventu-
ally made the pass for the lead.
Meanwhile, Herlings had been
making his way back up through
the ranks, and he soon also
found his way around Tixier and
eventually Guillod.
As the riders headed up the
first hill on the opening lap of the
second moto, Guillod made mid-
air contact with Damon Graulus,
sending both riders down in a
spectacular wreck. Guillod man-
aged to claw his way up to 13th
place—only good enough for fifth
overall.
Meanwhile, it was Herlings
who captured the holeshot
and the early lead. Tim Gasjer
challenged Herlings, but, once
again, the Red Bull KTM rider
managed to hold on to capture
the win.
Gasjer used his 4-2 finish to
claim second overall, barely edg-
ing out Tixier.
