swapped the lead back and forth
with Smith in the middle stages
and then it was factory Harley's
Brad Baker taking the point.
That's how it went all night until

Slipping off the groove at
Sacto was a sure way to drop
positions. At one point one
rider, or maybe more, slipped
off simultaneously and ruined
the corner for everyone in the
front pack except for the lead-
ers Robinson and Smith. That's
