The FMF Glen Helen National
offered up another challenging
track. Light rain leading up to the
race and overcast skies on race
day kept the long, fast and hilly
track moist and dust free. Deep
ruts and rolling bumps (instead
of the usual square-edged
bumps that form on a more typi-
cally dry Glen Helen track) kept
the riders on their toes all day.
Most agreed that this was one of
the "better" Glen Helen Nation-
als, and it produced another
large spectator turnout.
Despite thrashing the field,
Tomac had yet another reason to
leave Glen Helen with even more
