HOOKING UP WITH HAHN

onster Energy Kawasaki
Team rider Wil Hahn has
had a tough row to hoe lately,
beginning his debut on a 450
in the Lucas Oil AMA Pro
Motocross Championship and
coming off of a major injury,
suffered at the opening round
of the Monster Energy AMA
Supercross Series early Janu-
ary. While his fellow competitors
have already been racing for a
while and are well up to speed
on the bike and in top physi-
cal condition, Hahn has been
trying to make up for a lot of lost
ground.
Now two rounds into the out-
doors, Hahn is struggling with
his results, going 17-26 at Hang-
town and 11-18 at Glen Helen,
but Hahn remains upbeat.
"We're making progress,"
Hahn said after the May 23 Glen
Helen race. "Obviously Hang-
town was kind of a wash for
me, I didn't ride very good, had
some crashes, nerves, and all of
the above. Today, the first moto

but made some mistakes—but,
hey, we're making progress.

struggled with myself just being
loose, I rode real tight, so I just
need to keep making progress.
The team is doing nothing but
making my bike better every
time I come out, helping making
me be better every time out. The
more I race the more I'm with
these guys the better I will get."
Hahn added that coming off a
major injury and racing the 450
outdoors for the first time in his
career hasn't been easy.
"It's definitely been hard,
for sure," he said. "There are
so many unknowns, but it's all
good. I have a really good group
around me that's showing me
the ropes, but it's just dirt bike
riding. I've got to figure it out and
race with these guys. Like I said,
the more I race with them, I
think the better I will get and the
