OFF ROAD
KENDA AMA NATIONAL ENDURO SERIES
ROUND 5 / MAY 17, 2015
ST. JOE STATE PARK / PARK HILLS, MISSOURI
P122
(Above) Grant Baylor kept the
pressure on Russell. (Left) Former
champ Steward Baylor seems to
be fully recovered from his broken
collarbone after finishing fourth.
(Right) Andrew DeLong had a
good ride and filled out the Lead
Belt podium.
Russell, aboard KTM's new 2015-1/2
250 SX-F Factory Edition, kicked things
off as he's done all year long by winning
the opening test of the day, turning a
time that was 19 seconds faster than
N-Fab/Am Pro Yamaha's Grant Baylor.
The North Carolina rider went on to add
wins in the second, fourth and fifth tests
as he gained momentum throughout the
event. Meanwhile, Baylor kept Russell
honest by winning tests three and six.
However, Russell's speed was too
much for Baylor to overcome and he
took the overall win by one-minute and
37 seconds over the Yamaha rider, with
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory
Racing's Andrew DeLong finishing third,
another minute and five seconds back.
