Rockstar Energy Racing Husqvar- na's Jason Anderson was third fast- est in 450 qualifying, but decided to sit the night out after crashing hard during one of his practice sessions. He finished off his 450 rookie year seventh overall. "I was having a good practice," said Anderson. "I felt re- ally good on the track but came into a corner, slid out and hit the ground pretty hard and decided to call it a night. I'm focusing on outdoors, and have been riding that really well, so I didn't want to take a risk tonight." Red Bull KTM's Justin Hill sat out the East/West Shootout after crash- ing during his 250 West heat race. Hill hit his head in the fall and, even though he passed the required con- cussion test, he chose to skip the Shootout and start planning for the outdoors.
