"I didn't get the Hot Lap, but I knew if I could get the hole- shot [in the main event] I could control the race from there," said Haaker. In that series, the younger riders compete in their own class but in the U.S. series, the Junior riders (21 and under) compete with the pro riders for their own championship within a championship. Jack Field took the TrialsCross win and threw in a few backflips to keep it exciting for the fans. He had enough of a lead to get up and get going again before getting passed. Michael Salsman and Kieth Adams rounded out the podium.
