complain."
Seely said he was struggling
with the track.
"Super soft and lines were
changing every lap," said Seely.
"Bike setup was key tonight and
I felt like I did set up my bike. It
was really tough. When I was
leading it was hard to focus
ahead with those guys behind
me. It was really [tough to] just
hit my marks when the track's so
soft."
Still, the 450-class rookie was
pleased with his finish.
"To be on the podium, I'm
stoked," said Seely. "Rookie
season, I didn't have any ex-
pectations, but to be third in
points and be the highest plac-
ing rookie and have a win, is
exciting. When you get third it's
definitely not a negative. I'm just
really stoked. I'm happy with the
way the season's gone."
Blake Baggett was ninth at
the end of the opening lap, but
managed to work his way all the
way up to fourth by the finish,
one of his best rides of the year.
The Yoshimura Suzuki passed
both Short and Peick on lap 11 to
move into fourth place.
"I came from the back but
worked my way forward pretty
good," said Baggett. "I'm definite-
ly happy with that, because it was
tough to pass out there. I had
a good battle with 'Shorty,' but
actually, I had a good battle with
everybody. It was like a free-for-all
