hen JD Beach crossed
the finish line first
at the Circuit of the
Americas for the MotoAmerica
FIM/AMA North American Road
Racing Championship's inaugu-
ral Supersport race—the joy was
obvious. In the pouring rain, the
Yamalube Y.E.S. Graves Yamaha
rider had finally ended his five-
year-win-drought.
"When I came out of turn 20
[the final corner] and I looked
back and there was nobody
there it was amazing," Beach
said. "I've been working hard for
five years. Man, it's been a long
time since I've won a race."
September 10, 2010, to be
precise. The same year he
