Marc Marquez was expected to win, and
not only by himself. Instead he wrecked his
chances with a rookie's mistake at the first
corner. "It wasn't bad luck. It was my mistake,"
he said. "I got onto the dirty part of the track,
and I decided it was better to run off than risk
crashing. By the time I got to fifth I'd overheat-
ed my tires, and the leaders were four seconds
away. I decided it was better to get 11 points
than risk crashing."

in last place after the start.

to make the bike better on used tires,

"The last five laps were terrible for me.
When Bradl came past, I was able to get
back past him, but then it was really dif-
ficult and he went by again."
