However, Forkner made a pass
for the lead at the white flag,
but Crown managed to stuff his
way back to the front before the
checkered flag.
"I could not let him beat me
on the white flag," said Crown. "I
would not be able to live with my-
self. So I saw an opening and I
ran it in there. I'm sorry, Forkner.
I don't normally ride like that, but
I just really wanted it, man. I'm
speechless right now."
"It was crazy," added Crown.
"I got a horrible start but I got
up front real quick. I was waiting
for Forkner to come; I knew he
was coming. He was riding really
good."
Forkner came back to turn in
an incredible ride in the 250 B
class, coming from way back in
the pack after getting bumped
around after the start to take the
win, his only title of the week-
end.
"I got a really good start, and
I was going to come out about
second or third," said Forkner.
