Coolbeth came away with the
points lead in the 2015 AMA
Grand National Championship
after placing third and first over
the course of the two nights.
Trailing Coolbeth by six points
was Brandon Robinson, who
was fourth and second after
two races. In third and 21 points
behind was Sammy Halbert, who
went 6-3.
In the GNC 2 class—formerly
known as the Pro Singles class—
17-year-old Andrew Luker took
the lead on his Clayton Williams
Racing Honda at the green light
and led from flag-to-flag to claim
his first GNC2 victory on Thurs-
day evening.
On Friday, it was RLJ Racing/
Honda's Justin Jones turn to
claim his first AMA Pro Flat Track
GNC2 victory by outrunning
Honda's Davis Fisher, getting to
the finish line 2.695 seconds
faster than the Parkinson Broth-
ers Racing Honda rider.
Luker leaves Daytona leading
the standings after two rounds
with 39 points, followed by Jones
with 38 and Gauthier with 28.
