INTERVIEW
TEAM MANAGER/RACER LARRY PEGRAM
P104
of my AMA crew at some point,
just not all of them last year. I
was in a single rider team, so I
brought my whole group back
together now."
And Pegram gave his team
props for the work they did to be
ready for the season opener in
Australia.
"The work they [his crew] did
in January to get to this race was
truly unreal," he said. "In Amer-
ica first, to get to the test over
there, but that was easy com-
pared to getting to the European
tests and this race in Australia. I
mean they really worked. I guar-
antee in a month and half they
did not put in less than 20-hour
days. They were flat out and it
showed in the testing, it showed
that we were way, way better
than everything was last year."
In addition to all the new
experiences with a new series,
Pegram and his crew have relo-
cated to Italy, where the team is
based.
"Everybody has their own
places now, we have got them
apartments," he said. "I was
not going to pick their places
and then they would be like, 'I
don't want to live with so-and-so
because he snores!' We have to
allow them to make their own de-
cision or it is just going to come
back and bite you. I already
figured that one out."
Although ill most
of the week at the
season opener in
Australia, Pegram
managed to score
a couple of points
in race two.
