INTERVIEW MARVIN MUSQUIN P76 had a good gap on Bogle and then we started over. Obviously I was still first on the restart but Bogle was right behind me. Mentally, it was not easy but that's why it makes you tougher and better. I'm really glad to get it done for the team, for everybody that works so hard." Musquin barely put a wheel wrong en route to his win, which is a testament to the work he put in during the off-season. "I've been training for a long time and at one point I was like, 'man, it takes forever to finally be racing,'" said Musquin. "I started practicing a month ago, and to watch those guys on the west coast racing, it was not easy. I have great partners like Jason Anderson and Ryan Dungey down in Florida, now with Aldon Baker. We've been doing our work and it's paying off, so I'm happy." Musquin says that he plans to build on the momentum. "Like I said, I got a good bike and I've been training hard," said Musquin. "I wish for the same weekend next weekend—good starts and be consistent. What Ryan Dungey did also today, that's what you want to do; that's the dream race to have both of us win." Musquin performed his signa- ture heel-clicker over the finish line jump, just like Dungey dur- ing his win. Musquin says that was kind of sort of an inside joke between the teammates. "That was perfect," said Musquin. "I'm always trying to get him to do one, and right when he pulled off he said, 'that was the best heel clicker of my life,' so that was sick. Ryan is a good guy and we get along really good. To be teammates is awesome. Kind of cool that we were wearing the same gear. Together to win the same night for the team, it's awesome. I'm really happy for them. "It feels so great to get a win tonight. Both the team and I have been working so hard in the off-season to get where we need to be to run up front. I had had a lot of injuries in the past few seasons, particularly in the Supercross season, and I am happy to finally be completely healthy at the start of the sea- son. Normally, I have improved as the Supercross season [has gone] on, but this year, I started strong." CN If the Arlington race is a sign of things to come, then the rest of the 250 East class will have to step up their game if they want to beat Musquin.
