through the phases of being a Grand Prix rider
(with a 250 Grand Prix podium to his credit) to
being a Suzuki British Superbike rider, without
even passing the World Superbike "GO' sign.
A year later he arrived and then stayed on
in the World Superbike paddock that was to
be the eventual making of his world champion-
ship ambitions.
He has ridden for factory Suzuki, privateer
Ducati (three wins) and factory Aprilia, where
he earned a race win for the Vee-four factory
first time out in 2013.
He won five more races on the Aprilia this
year and took the championship everybody
thought had surely been lost. His double win
at the final round showed the 'stuff' had been
there inside nice-guy Guintoli all along.
