INTERVIEW
2014 AMA ENDUROCROSS CHAMPION CODY WEBB
P132
I don't think they knew I had the
potential to win an EnduroCross
title until after a couple of years.
It felt great to get the champion-
ship for them, and it kind of hurts
to leave because I've been with
Tim Pilg [US Beta importer] for so
long and I got to know him really
well.
How did the KTM deal come
about?
Mike Hulbert of RPM Racing
approached me before the race
at Las Vegas this year and he
asked what it would take to get
me and I remember I laughed
and said, "oh, yeah, that's not go-
ing to happen." But then they put
together a few outside sponsors
and they really put in a lot of ef-
fort to put the deal together. They
got some factory support too, so
it was a mix of a lot of things. I'm
really excited about the deal and
it sparks new interest and I think
I'll be that much more motivated
to do well in 2015.
Do you know if you'll ride
a two-stroke or a four-stroke
next year?
I'll be competing in the World
SuperEnduro Championships,
which starts on December 14 in
Poland, so since I'm familiar with
the two-stroke I'll ride a 300 XC. I
haven't spent a single day on the
"I THINK I
LEARNED
HOW TO BE
AGGRESSIVE
FROM
TADDY."
