where else.
What are your thoughts on
Taddy? He's dominated the
sport the last five years and he
was one of your toughest com-
petitors this year.
I think I learned how to be ag-
gressive from Taddy. I think I got
some stuff figured out where I'm
able to be really smooth to go
fast, where he's more of a wild
child kind of rider. Even when
he was riding trials he was do-
ing some crazy stuff. He's got
some amazing confidence in his
abilities and I need to get more of
that intensity that he's got. Taddy
is great for the sport; he's always
able to get the crowd whipped up
and always celebrating when he
wins. There was a period where
he was winning all those races
and I was always kind of just mad
or jealous of him, but I think last
year things kind of changed and
I feel like even though we are
competitors and it's been a tough
year, we have a lot of respect
for each other. I feel all year that
we've always been respectful of
each other and ridden clean rac-
es. I've gained a lot of respect for
Taddy and he saw I worked really
hard to try and get up to his level
and I think he saw that and he re-
spected that.
You must have had some
mixed emotions since the
Ontario race was your last
with Beta before moving on
to KTM, and it was Beta's first
EnduroCross title.
Yes, I'm really glad that I got

the championship for Beta this
year. It meant a lot for me, riding
for a relatively small manufacturer
like Beta to finish ahead of KTM,
who has had the strongest pro-
grams in off-road for the past 15
years. It was huge for us.
I basically started Enduro-
Cross with Gas Gas in 2010.
They gave me a bike but I was
pretty much on my own. I was
still pretty much concentrating
on trials that year, and that was
the year I won the title. When I
first got on the Beta team, they
put some effort behind me and
they knew I wanted to do both
Trials and EnduroCross, and but

manufacturer Beta.
