2015 SUPERCROSS PREVIEW
P82
rider at Monster Energy Kawasaki, moving
over after an injury-filled season at GEICO
Honda. Both riders have big shoes to fill,
considering Villopoto leaves the team hav-
ing won four-straight SX titles.
Toyota/JGR Yamaha has a completely
new lineup for 2015 after last year's riders
Justin Brayton and Josh Grant skipped
town: Brayton for the BTOSports.com
KTM-WPS Team, and Grant for the Dis-
count Tire/TwoTwo Motorsports Team.
Filling the void at JGRMX are Justin Barcia
and Weston Peick. Barcia spent the off-
season riding a couple of the one-off Eu-
ropean Supercross races, however, after
finishing second at the Bercy Supercross
in France, Barcia crashed at the Genova
SX and suffered two bruised lungs, al-
though he's expected to be ready to go
come A1.
Peick will be making his first full sea-
son as a factory-backed rider, while Phil
Nicoletti will, once again, be on hand to
fill in if either Barcia or Peick go down.
Expectations are high over at Ameri-
can Honda, especially after the way
Trey Canard finished off the 2014 out-
door series with a dominating win. The
Oklahoma rider says he's finally found
suspension settings he's comfortable
with, which seems to have made a big
difference in his riding.
After two years as a contender for a
250 SX crown while a member of the
Lucas Oil/Troy Lee Designs team, Cole
Seely joins Canard in the 450 class on
the factory team. Seely made a couple
of impressive rides in the 450 class
while riding the "opposite" coast as a
250 rider over the course of the last two
years.
After Millsaps left Rockstar Energy
Racing, the team picked up support

(Above) As of this writing, James Stewart's future is still up in
the air. Will he race or won't he? The verdict isn't out yet.
(Below) Dean Wilson is one of the new contenders in the
Supercross-class on the Red Bull KTM Team. He rode a few rounds
last year on the TwoTwo Motorsports team in the 450 class.
