from Husqvarna and will bring the leg-
endary marquee into the Supercross
venues for the first time in a long time.
The team, now known as Rockstar En-
ergy Racing Husqvarna, signed 250
SX West Region champion Jason An-
derson to pilot the big Husky, and the
New Mexico native had a good show-
ing in Europe during the off-season.
Anderson made a name for himself last
year in the 250 class with his dramatic
"come-from-behind" wins en route to
the West region title, so it will be inter-
esting to see how he fits into the order
in the 450 class.
Another strong favorite for the 2015
title is Eli Tomac. The GEICO Honda
rider spent a good part of last year's
series on the sidelines due to a shoul-
der injury, however, the Colorado na-
tive turned in some strong rides dur-
ing the outdoor series, including a
double-moto sweep at Millville, and is
expected to run near the front in 2015.
He also scored some wins during the
off season racing Supercross in Europe.
Another 250 rider moving to the 450
ranks is Dean Wilson who joins Ryan
Dungey on the Red Bull KTM team, filling
the void left by Roczen's departure. This
gives KTM a two-rider threat for the title,
although with two distinctively different
styles. Dungey did get more aggressive
in the later stages of last year's outdoor
series, but he will still rely on a steady
style when it comes to going for champi-
onships. Wilson, on the other hand, will
be a bit more flamboyant.
Both Dungey and Wilson will be riding
the new 2015 "Factory Edition", which
KTM says is a major improvement over
the SX-F models this year and specifically
targeted at Supercross racing.
JEREMY
MARTIN
(Above) The 250 outdoor National MX Champion, Jeremy Martin,
hopes his Supercross season gets off to a better start than it did last
year. He finished it off strong, though, by winning the East main at
Las Vegas. (Below) Justin Barcia has gotten off to a rocky start on
his new JGRMX/Yamaha Team, but that can all change at A1.
