VOL. 51 ISSUE 50 DECEMBER 16, 2014 P125 that he's found in Supercross, but in 2014 he showed he had the speed to compete for a win. "I've yet to win a moto out- doors, but I'm working towards that," says Bogle. "I think I'm a pretty balanced dude; I think I can make it happen indoors and outdoors. "Coming into the outdoor sea- son, I wanted to be battling for the champion- ship, and obviously everyone's going to say that. But I was extremely confident coming in, it just didn't work out. I had two or three DNFs and a couple of pretty big crashes that held me back. Certainly, not winning a moto is something I need to work on, but I think it'll come." Part of Bogle's early-season problems in the out- door series, he says, boiled down to setup issues. "I struggled with that, personally, during the first few rounds," says Bogle. "What I thought I needed ended up not being what I needed. I fi- nally talked to "Roc" [team manager Mike LaRoc- co] and we started testing more, and I started getting my bike working a lot better for the last few rounds. I got more comfortable and I think it showed because my results improved. It was ideal, for sure, but I learned a lot and I'm defi- nitely looking forward to next year. I want to battle for an outdoor title, too." Bogle has worked more closely with LaRocco during the off-season in preparation for the 2015 season. "Roc is pretty hands on, and luckily we really hit it off and I feel like we work well together," says Bogle. "The thing he's been the biggest help with is testing. For me, personally, he's helped me tremendously with my setup and, if we get a new part and no one's available to test, he'll do what he can and get an idea. Plus, when I'm testing he understands a little better what I'm talking about, because maybe he'll ride the bike and he'll feel the same thing. For me, that's the biggest thing is the help with testing and getting the setup I like." When it comes to riding, however, it's Fe- dorow that Bogle relies on most. "I'm working on being a hard charger, and Ryan is helping me with that," says Bo- gle. "All of my career in amateurs, I feel like I was a smooth rider, more not pushing the limits like some guys do. But at this point in my career, I need to be that guy, push- ing the limits. I need to work on my intensity and work on being better at charging. Right now, I am more of a smooth rider, which I think is why I do well at Supercross." The thing that Bogle feels he's improved on the most since turning pro is 100 percent mental. "It's the mental aspect," says Bogle. "We've worked on that a lot, just being more confident in whatever situation I'm in. Last year was the first year that I put my full trust in everyone around me; my trainer, my team. That's helped me out a ton. You have to be headstrong knowing it's a marathon and not a sprint. A lot of people forget that and get caught up in the hype and I'm try- ing not to get caught up in the hype. Even if it is East Coast Supercross, it's a longer series than you think and a lot can happen. Just being men- tally tough to deal with a bad race and bounce back is something you have to do. Some guys let a bad race wreck them for weeks." As for the upcoming season, Bogle says he's ready. "I'm feeling good going into the year," he says. "I feel I'm building off the past year, which obvi- ously I had a successful Supercross season and that bike I was riding was incredible, so having it as a base to build on this year is huge. Just to test from that bike and use it as a starting point I think puts us ahead of the game going into the year and I think I'll have a great setup when the racing actually starts. "Things are still a bit up in the air about which coast I'm racing right now [next year], there's a few things going on, so we'll figure that out, but I'll be ready to go no matter which series I race."
