The battle of wills and hammering out the details
of compromise have made for some awkward tran-
sition years. For starters there were separate rules
to help fill the grid via having two classes in one,
with the Claiming Rule (CRT) the first version. That
was followed by the new-and-improved Open-
class concept, but it ultimately led to a concession
to struggling or new factory teams, making it three
classes in one.
These changes have made for a lot of talking
points in the media. And who better to talk about it
