not to send teams due to costs
associated with an Argentine
campaign, however, they were
guaranteed a podium since
only Australia and Canada po-
nied up for WWT as well.
America usually sends more
Club teams than any other
country except for the host,
and Team USA had some
strong ones, the best among
the half-dozen three-man
teams probably the Wellard trio
(Chris Bach, Andrew Delong
and Gary Sutherlin).
Then there was the Elizabeth
Scott Club team represented
by Senior-class riders (despite
